Overview
Note: This kit is to be used when the stock bar end mounts are
removed from the OE bars. If those have been retained, choose kit 0151-001 (Available in the links Below) which
has adapters specifically designed to fit the OE dampers inside the R1/R6
bars
These 2-piece design consists of bodies CNC machined from billet steel, replaceable polymer buttons that act as the sliding surface and a slot to fit CRG or similar bar end mirrors. They utilize the same threads as the stock bar ends and an 8mm hex recess is located at the end of the body under the button so that that a hex key socket can be used to torque these to factory spec.
GEN-1 is for CRG or similar bar end mirrors.
The all new GEN-2 version allows for use of all type of bar end mirrors by eliminating the inner collar, you can now slide mirrors that do not spit in two into place before install!
Some manufacturers make brackets that
do not open all the way up, but instead have an almost completely
circular opening with a slot. These brackets get pinched down when the
bolts are tightened to clamp onto handlebars. Motogadget and Rizoma are
two such manufacturers and we call this type of bracket a “closed
style”. Unfortunately, these clamps will not work with our original
designs because the outer diameter of the mounts is too large for the
clamps to slide over to reach the slot. RhinoMoto has started releasing
what we call our Gen 2 kits to work with these mirrors. The bodies are
two pieces so that the mirror can slide onto the smaller diameter
section from the rear. A dress ring is included so that when assembled
these kits look exactly like the original kits. The use of the dress
ring is optional and the mounts are usable without them if desired.
All Gen 2 kits also work with open clamp mirrors. They are compatible with all of our spacers and adapters so that we can easily produce a Gen 2 version of any existing kit.
The button then screws onto the body. Once mounted these
have the same appearance as our other bar ends. This kit is offered in
black powder coated and stainless steel finishes with a choice of flat,
round or tapered buttons.
Kit contains 2 threaded mirror mounts with buttons, stainless fasteners for the buttons, installation instructions and 2 RhinoMoto logo stickers.
