Overview

MWR Air Filters are built upon 2 decades of experience in developing and producing high performance air filters for road, race, and off road use.
This experience has been gained working with some of the biggest air filter companies in Europe in areas such as World MX, Dakar (bikes, cars and trucks), Moto GP, WSB, BSB, AMA and even Rallycross. The knowledge gained during this period was invaluable and led MWR to develop their range of performance foam filters.
NOTE:
Why no WSBK filter for the R9 ? Because the filter is already 50% bigger then the R1 filter with 100HP less , so it has no use to make a WSBK , it will have no effect , therefore we developed something really special to make the difference against all other brands.
The aerodynamic plate is designed to create an equal airflow on all three cylinders.
The double plate eliminates the turbulence “behind”, which creates an even higher speed of the air. Due to these changes in the airflow, the cylinders are also better filled so that you have more room to play with the ignition
The Performance Filter (MC-090-24)
Excellent performance and max. protection . No copy of the std. filter , always searching for solutions , either it’s the performance , protection or fitment . Caution: clean and re-oil at least once a year with MWR airfilteroil & cleaner . In countries around the Equator with extremely high temperatures and extremely high humidity, road engine filters must be serviced at least twice a year. Remapping the ECU or the Fuel Control Module is recommended.
The HE (High Efficient) air filter (MC-090-24-HE) for road & race bikes
Designed for inlet noise reduction . The revolutionary High Efficient Airfilter is designed to reduce intake noise and yet more power to deliver . This design of airfilter has shown a reduction of up to 8db of intake noise compared to other sportsfilters. Unlike all other sportsfilter all inlets will get with this High Efficient Airfilter the same quantity of air, regardless the speed of the motorcycle or wind directions . No different fuel-mappings between internal & external or front & rear cylinders are needed , this will be achieved by tuning each cylinder separate . Caution : clean and re-oil at least once a year with MWR airfilteroil & cleaner . In countries around the Equator with extremely high temperatures and extremely high humidity, road engine filters must be serviced at least twice a year. Remapping the ECU or the Fuel Control Module is highly recommended.
The Race air filter (MC-090-24-R) for race bikes
Developed for racebikes NOT for roadbikes , NOT on a dyno but in real life , bikes with Dataloggers for the ultimate performance due to new materials and design , protection is on the same level as the filters above , only for a shorter time . Unlike any other sports filter all inlets will get with this Full Race airfilter the same quantity of air , regardless the speed of the motorcycle , wind directions or the turbulence of the fairing . No different fuel-mappings between internal & external or front & rear cylinders are needed , this will be achieved by tuning each cylinder separate . Caution : The Full Race airfilter protects for 100% but for a short period of time , check after each raceweekend your filter , use only MWR filteroil & cleaner . Make sure you start each raceweekend with a well oiled filter . This airfilter is not developed to reduce the inlet noise . Remapping the ECU or the Fuel Control Module is highly recommended.
WHY MWR?
The revolutionary HE Air filter increases power and reduces intake noise. Unlike any other sports filter all inlets will get the same quantity of air, regardless of the speed of the motorcycle or wind directions. This is because of the unique design of the Air Splitter Plate (see illustration to understand how the Air Splitter works) and how it evenly distributes air throughout the airbox. No different fuel-mappings between internal & external or front & rear cylinders are needed. Clean and re-oil once a year. The difference between our roadbike filters and racefiltersThe foam material of our racing filters have a much more open structure, which makes the protection of a much shorter duration, note: protection is 100% but much shorter, the maintenance frequency is so high that these filters are NOT suitable for roadbikes Our roadbike filters have a maintenance frequency of once a year, regardless of the mileage. Stick to this so that the foam cannot dry out and the protection for the next year is 100% insured. In countries around the Equator with extremely high temperatures and extremely high humidity, road engine filters must be serviced at least twice a year. Racebike filters can handle the same maintenance frequency as normal. Only MWR Airfilter oil may be used because this oil is biodegradable and therefore also resistant to backfire So …. very simple, the red filters are for the road bikes and black filters are for the track & race bikes
