MWR has developed an
exceptional filter for the Hypermotard 950. The complete air filter lid
with cover is replaced by the new MWR high performance filter. This
means a much larger inlet opening of the airbox, resulting in much
greater airflow with much more power than with any other sports filter
........ we cannot forget about the beautiful increasing noise.
This MWR Air Filter replaces the original filter element with our
high flow performance material that is able to be washed, and re-oiled
up to 25 times before a replacement is needed. excellent performance and
max. protection . Not a copy of the std. filter - always searching for
solutions , either it’s the performance, protection or fitment
1) Remove original airfilter / airfilter-lid and cover from the airbox
2) Place
the MWR airfilter for the first time : place the filter , position the
filter by screwing in all the screws (do not tighten yet)
3) Tighten all 4 screws, you will now also see that the lips of the filter bend into the correct position
Remapping the ECU or the Fuel Control Module is recommended.
The foam material of our racing filters have a much more open structure, which makes the protection of a much shorter duration, note: protection is 100% but much shorter, the maintenance frequency is so high that these filters are NOT suitable for roadbikes Our roadbike filters have a maintenance frequency of once a year, regardless of the mileage. Stick to this so that the foam cannot dry out and the protection for the next year is 100% insured. In countries around the Equator with extremely high temperatures and extremely high humidity, road engine filters must be serviced at least twice a year. Racebike filters can handle the same maintenance frequency as normal. Only MWR Airfilter oil may be used because this oil is biodegradable and therefore also resistant to backfire So …. very simple, the red filters are for the road bikes and black filters are for the track & race bikes Below you can read again the differences between all our filters as described on our website
