This system was developed with two things in mind. Weight and mid-range power. Weighing in at just 7.12 pounds and gaining well over 6hp @8000rpm (before tuning). This system accomplishes this in spades. Proving itself on the track with multiple Supersport race wins, pole positions, and top trap speeds at nearly every track on the MotoAmerica calendar!
The Competition Werkes GP Race Slip-On Exhaust for
the 2017-2018 Yamaha YZF-R6 takes off pounds of weight and increases
performance while making the R6 look and sound much, much better. Made
from the finest stainless steel tubing, it is welded instead of bent to
avoid weak spots, just like a MotoGP pipe. Much more affordable than a
full system. Made in the USA.

"I have used Competition Werkes exhausts on 4 of my own bikes, including 2 of my all time favorite machines (my Ducati 1098, and Monster S4RS) and I've been very happy and impressed each time.
The sound is beautiful and loud, but it is not obnoxious in any way, and yes you can add our DB Killer (sold separately) to quiet it down if you are one of those unfortunate few with whiny neighbors, police, or track day organizers.
Also, I always choose the Stainless Steel option, as the metal get's an absolutely beautiful patina after a few months use."
