STAGE 1

 

2025 marks a new design and a lot of new features for the Ducati Panigale V4 platform. We get a revised chassis, swingarm, fairings, electronics, software, and engine enhancements. Not all of the changes are positive though, since we're dealing with restrictions in European and US models (US being the most restricted). 


To make the 2025 V4 a better overall package that our customers will fall in love with all over again, we use factory information and reverse engineer factory functions from scratch. Our knowledge and understanding of the ecu far exceeds other competitors. We don’t use incomplete or cheap guessing “Race” editors who guess what fuel map does what. We had to re-develop fuel and torque map strategies from square one. Ignition maps and throttle mapping are also all new for 2025+ Ducati V4. Say goodbye to a jerky yet restricted throttle holes in your RPM range, and inconsistent power with BT Moto.

 


 

WHAT DOES STAGE 1 INCLUDE?

 

  • INCREDIBLE+30whp gain at redline - from restriction removal and tuning (see dyno below)
  • Removing per gear limiters.  Get the same 200+hp in first gear as you would in 6th
  • Loud start fix (stop annoying your neighbors) (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Large decreases in acceleration times, increases in trap speeds, and seconds shaved off your lap times.
  • Complete control over cylinder deactivation (leave on or off) (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Correct fueling on both banks in “Alpha N” mode 
  • Deceleration fuel cut off for all gears, the bike will no longer jerk from throttle inputs (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Raise rev limiter (optional)
  • Raised torque limiters
  • Raised load limitations
  • Revised traction control and ABS (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Ignition timing adjustments for maximum safe power

WHY IS THIS THE BEST UPGRADE YOU CAN BUY?

 

Currently, there are only one option to flash the V4 and they it requires the purchase of an exhaust system. This option is mostly just fueling changes and can be dramatically improved upon. How do we know? We’'ve tested all options extensively and can say with 100% confidence that our flash is superior in every way. The up-map flash option cannot be purchased independently without the purchase of an exhaust. So what do people with all other exhausts do? There’s nothing they can do at the moment. Our mapping is currently the only truly developed and tuned file using true Conti M4D Ducati function sheets and mapping accordingly, using our in-house motorcycle and dynometer and datalogging. Not just nudging numbers in generic editors, with no testing, like we see so many people do.With or without an exhaust flash, we all know the Ducati V4 is a great bike!

We also know it isn’t perfect. Issues that we’'ve tested ourselves and what customers have reported include the following:

 

  • Poor per gear response, only allowing 6th gear to give maximum power
  • Lower dyno power and top speed then previous years
  • Poor idle
  • Startup issues when exhaust is installed
  • Smoking issue and hard starting in all temperatures
  • Issues when airflow modifications are installed with stalling
  • Acceleration that isn’t smooth through the entire RPM range due to inaccurate AFR 
  • Engine seems to struggle (lurch or jump through RPM range, 4000 - 8000 RPM) when too warm
  • Power that seems to level off (flatten) after 12,000 RPM from restrictions
  • Cylinder de-activation makes driving the bike extremely unpredictable with loss in power

 


 

SO WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT THIS?

 

After extensive R&D with our own, in-house, 2025 Ducati V4 and select “beta” testers, we can confidently say that we successfully addressed each issue and improved every performance aspect of the V4.


  • Huge top end gains with de-restricted airflow model
  • No more stalling at idle for no reason
  • Deceleration fuel cut off fixed to get rid of the signature jerky feel for more predictable riding (a BT only feature)
  • No startup issues with filter or exhaust installed
  • Acceleration is now smooth through the entire RPM range all the way to the rev limiter
  • Engine performs the same with the engine warm or hot
  • No problematic fault codes
  • We don't require you to spend thousands on an exhaust to get this mapping (up/akra)

Stock 2025 DUCATI PANIGALE V4, Stock vs Stage 1 (5th Gear)


Peak gains of almost 30WHP with a good kick in torque at the top end is great but that's not the whole story here. Up top, the stock tuning hits a soft limiter that noticeably holds the bike back and makes it fall on its face. This is the first Panigale V4 we've seen that is a restricted bike from the factory.

This is our Stage 1 tuning with VP Racing Fuel. We gained 10whp with a completely stock exhaust system with gains everywhere and at every RPM. Most notably are the gains that carry well above the stock baseline at 11,000+ RPM.

This is our Stage 1 tuning vs Stock, but going through all the gears. You can see a massive power gain at higher RPM's and at every shift. Even gains can be seen down low vs the stock baseline.


When going through the gears like this, the dyno numbers are not accurate. But look where the new power is being made with Stage 1 vs stock tuning.
