Arrow's new Yamaha R6 Supersport exhaust, used in combination with the Meen Racing developed R6 engine, showed a whopping 5HP gain over the current R6 systems in use. Testing showed gains across the board, but exceptional gains at the highest RPM ranges of these lightning fast Yamaha R6 race bikes.
Tim Calhoun, President of SpeedMob and manager of its U.S. racing efforts, said: “The Dynamometer reports show incredible linear power throughout the entire RPM range, but where this exhaust separates itself from any of the competitors' systems is in the final 3,000 or 4,000 RPMs to the engine's redline, it really optimizes the bike's horsepower gains at the most critical part of the RPM range.”
This exhaust will be made available in two versions, one which features Stainless Steel headers with a Titanium silencer and another available in full Titanium. Both systems feature the powerful Street Thunder Competition silencer with a Carbon Fiber end cap.
Ameen Sajjadi, Owner of Meen Motorsports, adds: “We came into this year with some new partnerships. SpeedMob and Arrow Exhaust was a critical one as we wanted to do some exhaust development. The Arrow R&D team has done an incredible job engineering this system. The first time we ran it on the Dyno we were blown away by the gains we recognized with this new exhaust. Normally, if you can squeeze 1 or 2 more horsepower out of a built 600cc motor then you're happy; but to see the HP gains across the board, and especially strong numbers in the upper RPMs was incredible. This is hands down the best exhaust we have ever tested.”
Meen riders Joe Roberts and Dakota Mamola will be utilizing these systems the remainder of 2016 season, powering their individual runs at the 600 Supersport and 600 Superstock Moto America championships.
