Engineered for long rides and adventure use, this helmet combines advanced impact construction with rider-focused ventilation and visibility. PB-cLc? shell is assembled using an assortment of materials and the forehead area of the shell is reinforced by a super fiber belt which is similar to the way in which bands strengthen a barrel. VAS-A shield system lowered to further improve 'glancing off' ability, while the VAS-A Max-Vision Shield preserves the wide field-fo-view and high level of visibility expected of an XD model. The optional Pinlock? insert for this model has advanced to be effective at resisting fogging, even in extreme conditions, across the entire field of view.
Peak design and AR Spoiler work together to improve high-speed stability and reduce buffeting and rider fatigue: the peak offers a greater range of adjustability for blocking the sun and increased high speed flow-through performance, and the AR spoiler is set in a position that makes it ideal for adventure riding, contributing to reducing fatigue from turbulent air and helping draw hot air out of the crown area. Ventilation features include a Front Logo Duct that allows airflow unaffected by rider position, a Mouth Shutter for direct fresh air without mesh vents, and an Inner Shutter that directs airflow to the shield to reduce fogging or toward the mouth for comfort.
Practical details speed prep and maintenance: the shield can be attached or removed without the need for any tools and the peak utilizes only one screw on each side for removal/installation, allowing easier and faster shield swaps. Finished with an odor-resistant interior for all-day comfort.
