Engineered for protection, comfort and fit, this helmet features an intermediate oval shape which fits the majority of head shapes in the North American markets. A consistently round and smooth shell maintains the Glancing Off shape concept, while a rounded chin bar keeps shell length compact to reduce protrusion and the likelihood of catching or digging during a spill. Super Fiber provides 30% higher tensile strength than standard fiberglass and increases penetration resistance, integrated into a Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-CLC) shell for reinforced impact performance.
Practical ventilation and rider-focused details include a chin bar vent grill installed on a rounded chin bar and mounted form the outside on the exterior vent cap for easy removal and cleaning; the vent cap is also designed to break away from the chin bar in the event of impact. The Air-Through top-rear-duct center brace doubles as a goggle-strap locator, and diffusers can be removed or replaced quickly by removing a single screw on the rear-duct center brace. Air outlets on the peak are larger to compensate for increased lift and are made from durable, extremely flexible material mounted with plastic screws designed to break on impact so they do not snag and transmit excess rotational force.
Safety and convenience features include an emergency release cheek pad design to give trained medical personnel easier access to an injured rider, reducing the chance of unintentional injury, and a removable neck roll for simple, thorough cleaning.
