The long-oval shape is created by increasing EPS liner space front-to-back and decreasing side-to-side, making it well suited for riders with a narrow head and a more pronounced forehead.
Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm to smooth the temple area and better reduce impact energy. The VAS latch captures and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening; in addition to the de-mist function, the larger latch provides intuitive, seamless shield operation. Comes with VAS-Max Vision (MV) shield that accepts the VAS-MV Pinlock? lens and includes a Pinlock? 120 lens.
Excellent ventilation with QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts for effective air intake and exhaust performance—when the front shutter is closed on the top duct, a side vent still serves as an exhaust vent. Water-repellent, removable ES chin cover enhances the egg shape of the helmet while increasing exhaust from the mouth area.
FCS? Cheek Pads feature a contoured shape with multiple layers of varying foam densities supported by a foam “spring” to cradle the face and help block wind noise. Odor resistant liner material resists build-up of bacteria to help the helmet stay fresher for longer.
