Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism was developed to enhance the shape of the shell and improve vision and safety. The long-oval shell profile is created by increasing EPS liner space front-to-back and decreasing it side-to-side, designed for riders with a narrower head and a more pronounced forehead. The VAS latch captures and securely holds the shield to help prevent unexpected opening, while the larger de-mist latch allows intuitive, seamless shield operation. The VAS shield system lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, smoothing the critical temple area to better reduce impact energy.
Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell design combines multiple materials and techniques to deliver performance and durability. Ventilation uses QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts for excellent airflow—even with the front shutter closed a side vent still serves as an exhaust. A water-repellent, removable ES chin cover enhances the egg shape and increases mouth-area exhaust. Odor resistant liner material resists bacteria build-up to keep the helmet fresher longer.
Comes with VAS-Max Vision (MV) shield that accepts the VAS-MV Pinlock? lens; Pinlock? 120 MaxVision* included. FCS? Cheek Pads feature a contoured shape with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring” to cradle the face and help block wind noise.
