Premium full‑face helmet engineered for high performance, comfort and safety. VAS Shield Mechanism — being able to see the shield mechanism allows for easier shield change. A dual‑function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin for quick and simple shield removal. The VAS mechanism with a variable axis incorporating a moving pivot point combines the pin trajectory with the two trajectories of the double pivot point slot so the shield opens and closes smoothly even with a much lower shield mount position.
Shield Latch — in addition to the de‑mist function, the larger latch allows for intuitive and seamless shield operation. The VAS latch captures and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening; a positive stop resists unintentional opening (even in the de‑mist position) but with a slight pull on the lift tab the shield lifts with ease. VAS Max‑V (BV) Shield with a clear Pinlock® insert is standard to provide excellent visibility in all seasons and riding conditions.
Ventilation and noise control are optimized by an Internal Air Channel that pulls hot/moist air from the eye‑port through ducted channels behind the cheek pads that exhaust via side cowl vents to help reduce fogging. IC Duct5 uses a three‑position slide gate to improve sealing for reduced noise and water intrusion; the switch is easier to open and limits water ingress when fully closed. Diffuser Type 12 and intake vents feature multiple positions and improved sealing, while vents are lightly mounted to remain frangible so they detach in an impact rather than snag and cause excess rotational force.
Shell construction uses PB‑SNC/PB‑SNC2 technology with Z Resin and super fiber plus special synthetic reinforcing fibers to create a stronger yet lighter shell with excellent Glancing‑Off properties. The internal structural net and Peripheral Belt further strengthen the shell with minimal weight increase. Glance‑Off ability is enhanced by a smaller, lower VAS pivot cover and a smooth shell profile along the Snell test line in the temple area.
Comfort features include an odor‑resistant, fully removable interior liner, soft frame material, removable temple padding and a removable/replaceable crown pad for a customized fit. Designed for riders who demand reliable protection, clear optics, refined ventilation and long‑wear comfort.
