An advanced full-face motorcycle helmet engineered for track-level performance and everyday riding. VAS Shield Mechanism: the VAS mechanism with a variable axis and moving pivot point combines the pin trajectory (based on an imaginary axis*) with the double pivot point slot so the shield opens and closes smoothly even with a lower shield mount position. Being able to see the shield mechanism allows for easier shield change; a dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin for quick, simple removal. Shield Latch: the VAS latch captures and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening. In addition to the de-mist function, the larger latch allows for intuitive and seamless shield operation, even with heavy gloves, and the shield includes a positive stop for controlled de-mist positioning.
Shell & safety: PB-SNC / PB-SNC2 shell construction uses super fiber and special synthetic reinforcing fibers and Z Resin developed in-house to bond shell layers with less resin—yielding strong, lighter shells with excellent glancing-off properties. An internal structural net and peripheral belt further strengthen the shell with minimal added weight or thickness. Smaller, lower pivot covers and a smooth shell along the Snell test line improve glance-off ability and reduce snagging in impacts.
Ventilation & comfort: Internal Air Channel and IC Duct5 provide enhanced ventilation—pulling hot, moist air from the eye port through ducted channels behind the cheek pads and exhausting via side cowl vents to reduce fogging. Diffuser Type 12 and air intake vents with three positions improve sealing to decrease road noise and water intrusion; vents are lightly mounted to remain frangible for safety. Odor-resistant, fully removable interior liners and soft-frame materials offer comfort, removable temple padding, and replaceable crown pads for a customizable fit.
Visibility & accessories: VAS Max-V (BV) shield with a clear Pinlock? insert is standard to ensure wide visibility in varied conditions. IC Duct5 switch features three positions, is easier to open, and limits water intrusion when fully closed.
