Built for performance, safety and everyday comfort, this full-face helmet combines advanced shield engineering, proven shell construction and an efficient ventilation system. VAS Shield Mechanism: a dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin for quick, simple shield removal. By combining the pin trajectory with the double-pivot slot trajectories, the shield opens and closes smoothly even with a lower mount position. The visible VAS mechanism makes shield changes easier, while the VAS latch securely captures the shield to help prevent unexpected opening — the larger latch also provides intuitive, de-mist operation and easy use with gloves. VAS Max-V (BV) Shield: a clear Pinlock? insert is standard to extend visibility across seasons and reduce fogging.
Shell & impact performance: engineered PB-SNC? and PB-SNC2 shells use super fiber and special synthetic reinforcing fibers for tensile strength, flexibility and lighter weight. Z Resin bonding, an internal structural net and a Peripheral Belt further strengthen the shell with minimal weight increase, improving glancing-off properties along SNell test lines and helping reduce rotational forces on impact.
Ventilation & noise control: Internal Air Channel and IC Duct5 provide enhanced airflow, pulling hot/moist air from the eye port through ducted channels behind the cheek pads and exhausting through side cowl vents to help reduce fogging. Diffuser Type 12 and three-position air intake/slide-gate vents improve sealing to decrease road noise and limit water intrusion. Vents are lightly mounted and remain frangible to reduce snagging and excess rotational force in an impact.
Comfort & fit: a fully removable, odor-resistant interior maintains a neutral pH close to the skin. Soft frame materials, removable temple padding and a removable/replaceable crown pad allow a customized, comfortable fit for long rides.
