Designed for confident touring and everyday riding, this helmet blends advanced aerodynamics, controlled ventilation and rider-friendly features to reduce fatigue and improve stability. A 3D Arai logo duct, just 3.5 mm in depth, feeds two central 10 mm intake ports; the logo duct works well at low speed and with an upright riding position and can be opened or closed easily with summer or winter gloves via a short-stroke lever placed at the top — if the rider can't see the lever and the logo is in its normal place, the duct is open. The logo duct is designed to break away in the event of an impact.
An aerodynamic one-piece rear exhaust/spoiler with a 3-way switch — inspired by the DF-X2 of the Corsair-X and redesigned for touring use — is fed by three ports in the shell to draw air efficiently, smooth airflow over and from the sides of the helmet, and improve high-speed stability while reducing buffeting. Manufactured thin and light, the rear spoiler is designed to crush or break away upon impact so it has no influence on protective performance.
Ventilation is enhanced by a 3-position (open, midway and closed) sliding air-scoop chin vent that delivers a large intake volume and includes a replaceable filter; the sliding chin vent actuating mechanism is thicker and easy to use with gloves. The outer shell outlines a stylish, organic shape and uses Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2) for lightweight strength and integrated side ducts, with an extra layer of super fiber belting to maintain rigidity while offering flat sides for easy intercom fitment.
With the Variable Axis System (VAS) the visor mounting position is lowered, yielding an average of an additional 24 mm across both temple areas for a smoother shape that helps glance off energy. The shell flares 5 mm around the opening to make getting the helmet on and off easier, and a small stitched opening on the inside of the neck roll allows a clean intercom installation by tucking away excess wiring. Designed to accept communication systems without compromising the inner EPS liner, this helmet balances comfort, connectivity and protective design.
