Advanced touring helmet engineered for long rides where comfort, stability and communication matter. A 3D Arai logo duct (just 3.5 mm deep) feeds two central 10 mm intake ports for effective low-speed and upright-position airflow; the short-stroke top lever opens or closes the duct easily while wearing summer or winter gloves, and the logo duct is designed to break away on impact. A one-piece aerodynamic rear exhaust/spoiler with a 3-way switch—inspired by the DF-X2—sits slightly forward on the shell, is fed by three shell ports and efficiently draws and smooths airflow. The result is improved high-speed stability and reduced buffeting, cutting rider fatigue when overtaking or cruising on the highway. The spoiler is manufactured thin and light and designed to crush or break away on impact so it does not compromise protective performance.
Ventilation is completed by a 3-position (open, midway, closed) sliding air-scoop chin vent that delivers large intake volumes and uses a replaceable filter; the thicker sliding actuating mechanism is glove-friendly. The outer shell uses Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2) with integrated side ducts and an extra layer of super-fiber belting to maintain rigidity while offering flat sides for easy intercom fitment. The helmet is designed to accept and connect a communication system on the shell exterior without compromising the EPS liner's protection; a small stitched opening inside the neck roll lets installers neatly tuck away excess wiring.
With Variable Axis System (VAS) the visor mounting position is lowered, yielding roughly an additional 24 mm across both temple areas to enhance glancing-off performance. A 5 mm shell flare around the opening makes donning and removal easier. Lightweight, aerodynamic and communication-ready—this helmet balances protection, comfort and touring-focused performance.
