I know people balk at adding unsprung weight, but this thing is totally worth it!
Was even able to repurpose some s2r titanium pinch bolts as well as replacing the other bolts with titanium, so the weight is almost offset with a lightweight sprocket(or 996 sprocket/hanger in my case)
The confidence this thing gives you is insane! At the moment, running it with stock 848 suspension and the performance is better than the ohlins (1098s) that I was previously using, no chatter if aggressively downshifting(without a slipper clutch) and the bike could not possibly feel more planted in corners!
I can only imagine how it will feel with a ttx and a linear link, and will update my review as soon as I try out that setup!
It makes me wish they made one for the front!
And if you think about it, since the mass damper is suspended by a spring/bumper, the internals moving independent of the swingarm, it physically isn’t unsprung weight, so stop making that argument and buy one of these things!
