QD Exhausts is a world leader when it comes to creating uniquely designed high performance exhaust systems. Made in Italy since 2012.
The Magnum Series’ exhaust systems is the result of a great experience spent on racing fields. The term Magnum comes from MAGNESIUM and highlight the characteristic of the end-caps made of thermo-injected magnesium. This solution merges the best relation between resistance and weight, typical characteristics of a highly technical material, as magnesium is.
The end-cap, characterized by an attractive design and enriched by the relieved QD logo, is manufactured with thermo-injection process by a 50 Tons press, this in order to give a higher molecular density, which guarantees excellent mechanic characteristics with limited sections and a consistent weigh control.
The Magnum Series’ end-cap is protected by a ceramic-based coating which protects it from oil and gasoline corrosion and from the acidity of hydrocarbons. The coating is 1400C heat resistant.
Magnum Series’ mufflers have an internal structure, which provides the best phonometric and performance result. Inside the muffler there’s a pre-fored can with 5mm diameter holes/ 8mm distance. The stratification of the rockwool is made to give to the muffler a sound characterized by low frequencies, lower than 800Hz. Under the same decibel level, the timbre of QD Magnum Series’ mufflers is lower and deeper, nothing better to give to your motorcycle an aggressive “voice”.
Magnum Series’ mufflers are equipped with a GAS-EXTRACTOR system, this device increases the exhaust gasses flow, by raising the extraction of the exhaust system. GAS-EXTRACTOR system creates an area which absorbs the engine-generated pressure waves and decrease the decibel level.
The shape of the GAS-EXTRACTOR edge generates an asymmetrical wave, which brakes up on the lower part of the end-cap lowering the noise level.
