Remember when Loris Capirossi won the MotoGP World Championship
back in 2006? Nope, me either. Probably because he lost valuable
points in the championship after being taken out in the Catalunya GP by
his team-mate Sete Gibernau due to a lack of lever guards!
Lever guards became mandatory since the 2012 MotoGP season, as well
as various other championships such as World Superbike, MotoAmerica,
etc., and can most likely be traced back to this incident. Hauling down
the straight at triple digit speeds, Sete Gibernau made contact with
Loris Capirossi, squeezing his brake lever to the point of lockup, which
sent Sete over the bars and in the hospital.
We know how important it is to have confidence in the equipment you use on the racetrack or on the street. That is why we have designed our lever protectors in such a way that they also meet the highest requirements and are always reliable even under the toughest circumstances.
Mandatory for racing, our lever protector is one of our developments to the racing and performance driven product line-up. Off the racetrack you will also experience it as a safety plus.
The well-known and popular two-part structure of our lever protector has remained also for this fine carbon version. The clamping element for the steering tube and the black hard-anodized aluminum bracket have been fundamentally revised. Thanks to the new construction, the holder can now be adjusted or rotated, which ensures an individually selectable position and thus improves comfort.
