Overview

Not only does it look Fantastic, It effectively doubles the capacity of your Airbox giving you large performance gains in medium and high RPM's, giving you more air and keeping it cooler! Cooler air means more power! These are extremely light, made with a very high quality autoclave carbon fiber (unlike the cheap ones on eBay!!).

It requires no further modification.

I am replacing my stock 998 US version engine with a 2005/2006 999S engine that will be big bored with 102mm piston and of course larger Termignoni exhaust. The Crankshaft and Cylinder Heat will be "re-worked" too. This mean, I will need a LARGER airbox to meet the air volume demand, and this airbox is the largest carbon fiber airbox that I can find but still fit with the factory size dual inlet. This is important for me since I want to keep my original front fairing. It's also specially for 996R/998 frame !!!

Works great, looks great, and helped to keep my bike from BURNING TO THE GROUND.

I had a backfire create a fire in the airbox (under the tank) on my 998 once, well the fire got pretty BAD, but it was mostly contained inside the airbox and the carbon never melted, burnt, lost it's shape, or suffered any damage.

So I'm very happy I had this airbox installed - VERY HAPPY.
