Overview
This extraordinary braking system comprising a pair of floating 230mm rotors per hub (hence the name 4D when you fit it to both sides of the wheel, you have 4 discs) offers slightly more braking surface than a single 320mm rotor, yet the ensemble pictured here weight 100grs less than a single Tokico 6 piston caliper and 320mm rotor from as Suzuki Hayabusa !
Less weight, small diameter means a greatly reduced gyroscopic effect which helps greatly on tight and twisty roads and tracks and allows you to come in deeper into the turns, on the brakes, without the bike wanting to stand up !
Racing credentials? The Aerotec 4D won the French national SBK championship on a Ducati 916 with Stephane Chambon riding ! It was used by Bertrand Stey on his RC51 during the 2003 WSBK season and by Yamaha France for the Le Mans 24h and Bol D'Or ! Beringer Aerotec 4D Works !
